Innovative Aspect and Main Advantages

  • The water regeneration system is reliable under conditions of rolling, vibration, in the absence of gravitational forces.
  • Thermoelectric heat pump included into the water regeneration system is characterized by compactness, low-weight and little electric energy consumption.
  • Thermoelectric heat pump consists of 40 thermoe-lectric modules manufactured on the basis of modern reliability theory in thermoelectricity.
  • To inhibit corrosion, titanium has been utilized in the manufacture of liquid heat exchangers used in the heat pump.

Areas of Application

Water regeneration system consisting of thermoelectric heat pump and centrifugal distilling apparatus is intended for the desalination of salt water during long sea and geological expeditions, or for the regeneration of sanitary-hygiene water (urine) under space flight conditions.
