Immunodiagnostic test systems for simultaneous quantification of fibrinogen, soluble fibrin and D-dimer in human blood plasma

Description

Test system based on obtained F-, Sf- and DD- specific mAbs for simultaneous quantification of F, Sf and DD in human blood plasma has been developed.

Fibrinogen (F) is the central protein of the blood coagulation system and soluble precursor of fibrin polymer forming the framework of a thrombus. Fibrinogen promotes aggregation of platelet by interacting with them. It is the first stage in the formation of the hemostatic plug platelet. Soluble fibrin (Sf) is one of the main markers of activation of blood coagulation and thrombosis threats, formed from fibrinogen by the action of thrombin. D-dimer (DD) is one of the main markers of thrombosis and fibrinolysis. DD is the largest molecular fragment of fibrin polymer degradation by plasmin stabilized by factor XIIIa.

The simultaneous quantification of fibrinogen, soluble fibrinogen and D-dimer gives possibility for:

  • Diagnosis of hemostatic system;
  • Identification or elimination of the threat of thrombosis in various diseases;
  • Elimination of deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary arteries;
  • DIC diagnosis;
  • Monitoring of antithrombotic and thrombolytic therapy.
