Method for prognosticating the biological activity of antitumourous drugs

Description

Method for analysis of spectrophotometric data in systems of biologically active ligand-nucleic acids combining spectrophotometric measurements (titration in visible and ultra-violet areas of a spectrum, research of fusion curves of nuclein acids in the ultraviolet area of a spectrum) and numerical methods of processing and analyzing experimental spectrophotometric data. The offered method allows selecting biologically active compounds, which have the greatest efficiency at molecular level, i.e. to estimate pharmacological activity by means of physical parameters characterizing interaction of such preparations with biological molecules, and also to establish effects of synergism at molecular level.

Innovative Aspect and Main Advantages

The suggested technique can be used for exploring of molecular mechanisms and calculating the values of physical parameters that specify efficiency of biologically active substances directly responsible for activity of specific genes, - short fragments of nuclear DNA, or stretched parts of DNA including encoding or controlling genome parts. This method allows selecting out biologically active substances that exhibit high effectiveness at a molecular level.
