Polarographic Determination of Pharmaceutical Preparations Aminazine and Levomepromazine

Medical preparations aminazine and levomepromazine influencing the central nervous system have anti-psychotropic effect on human emotional sphere. These medicines can strengthen narcotic and analgetic influence. It is worthy to note, that for administering these preparation the dose is of vital importance, because its increase restrains the conditioned reflex action, thus causing subsiding of skeletal muscles. Therefore, precise quantitative determination of the above-mentioned medicines by the sensitive and prompt method, namely polarography is of relevance, especially, compared to the generally used method, that is complicated, laborious and less sensitive.

We have elaborated polarographic method of determination of aminazine and levomepromazine.

Innovative Aspect and Main Advantages

Determination of above mentioned medical preparations by polarographic method is precise, sensitive, prompt, quick and cheap method. These method allows to determine aminazine and levomepromazine quantity within the wide concentration range c=1*10-6 ÷ 5*10-2 mole/l. We have used apparatus of serial production.

Areas of Application

Medical organizations: in hospitals for express analysis; Pharmaceutical industry: for establishing of substances purity, etc.

Stage of Development

The elaborated methods are covered by patents of Georgian Intellectual Private National Center: “The Method of Determination of Pharmaceutical Preparations Aminazine” and “The Method of Determination of Pharmaceutical Preparations Levomepromazine”.
