Wireless sensor systems

Description

The wireless sensor system is a complex consisting of a great number of geographically distributed sensor modules (detectors) and network-forming radio receivers integrated by means of a radio channel in a uniform information network.

The system is intended for acquisition, collection and processing of telemetry information from the territorially distributed automation objects in the conditions of absence of cable communication lines and power supply of controlled objects.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • operational range between the sensor modules and acquisition and communication modules - up to 100 metres;
  • operational range between the acquisition and communication modules and base station - up to 2,500 metres;
  • temperature range -40°C...+100°C;
  • pressure range 0...25 MPa;
  • system operating temperature -40° C... +50° C;
  • polling period from 15 seconds up to 10 minutes (adjustable polling period);
  • replaceable batteries.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE USED RADIO COMMUNICATION

  • ISM band (Industry Scientific and Medical);
  • signal frequency - 868/433 Mhz;
  • signal power-up to 10 mW;
  • transfer rate - up to 50 kbps;
  • noise-resistant coding with the possibility to recover damaged data packages.

  • do not require laying of cable communications;
  • high efficiency of the system installation at objects;
  • easy updating: prompt change of the detectors location, addition of new detectors or replacement of one detectors by the others are provided;
  • simplicity and low cost of maintenance;
  • compatibility both with standard and specialized platforms and software.

    Areas of Application

    Gas or oil extraction and transport facilities, oil refineries, chemical and other industrial complexes, housing and public services, the system can also be applied to create systems for monitoring of building structures, industrial equipment, and security systems.
