Technologies for manufacturing of nanostructured multilayer ceramic capacitors of new generation.


Multilayer ceramic capacitors of 0201 series of 3 μF capacity with dielectric based on barium titanate doped with zirconia and calcia, which corresponds to protocol X7RBME. The capacitors are produced from barium titanate nanopowder of 20 nm partice size and nickel of 10 nm particle size. Technologies of both products have been developed at IPMS NAS of Ukraine and are the property of IPMS.

Innovative Aspect and Main Advantages

these capacitors are in the main trend of miniaturization of passive electronic components, i.e. they have thinner dielectric layers and electrodes than 0.3 μm. To make the integrated solution possible, new technologies for powder manufacturing, preparation of suspensions and inks, printed films and laminated multilayers, unconventional sintering technologies, preventing grain growth have been developed.
