Description

White phosphor free of heavy metal activators with excellent spectral properties that can be tuned almost ideally to natural day light. Material is synthesized by chemical treatment of fumed silica (aerosil, A300) followed by thermal treatment in inert atmosphere. Light emitting centers are carbon nanoclusters.

Spectral distribution of light emission of black body at 6000 K
(roughly corresponds to spectral distribution of sun radiation)
and representative SiO2: C powder (under 360 nm excitation)
