Description

High-efficiency anticorrosive pigments based on natural nanoporous zeolite modified by ion exchange, containing up to 5 wt.% zinc cations, calcium and other elements, with the particle size of 5 - 10 microns, that are used to improve the corrosion properties of primer coatings used to protect steel and aluminum alloys against atmospheric corrosion. The pigments have optimum rheological properties and are easily combined with paint binders.

Innovative Aspect and Main Advantages

Well dispersed, environmentally friendly, with high protective properties. Can form a synergistic composition with zinc phosphate pigments. High ion-exchange capacity and effective interaction with polymer binding due to the presence of 50 vol% of nanopores in pigment. The protective effect of pigments exhibits after underfilm corrosion has begun. Procurable and cheap raw materials.
