Thin vacuum-tight Beryllium foils


Vacuum-tight Be foil is a product which has been a wide demanded for manufacture of electro-physics equipment. The raw material for foils rolling is Beryllium of a 99,95 -99,999 % purity which is obtained by means of vacuum distillation.

During production process the bars of highly pure distilled metal are treated with the programmed mechanical and technical processing aimed at getting fine-grained samples suitable for rolling into foil.

Technological parameters of foils:

  • Tensile strength, σb=30-35 kg/mm2
  • Tensile strain, δ ≈3 %
  • low coefficient of X-ray absorption in the area of ‘soft’radiation (energy is lesst han 2keV)
