Description

The main objective of researches consists in creation of an instrument for non-invasive sensing of physiological state of a vehicle driver, which will be instrumental in increase of safety of road motion. Any kind of monotonous and long loads suppresses psychophysical system of human. The result is fatigue, drowsiness and reduction of a driver’s attention. Terrible catastrophes with human victims and material losses can happen as a result that driver can short-term fall asleep during vehicle’s movement. That is why modern vehicles should be equipped by reliable preventive antisleep devices. It is known that the brain alpha rhythm of a man in the sleepy condition is slowed, the heartbeat frequency is decreased, the blinking of eyes become more frequent, the closing-time of eyes thus increases, there are head's uncontrollable tilts and also weakening of pose. Registration of physiology parameters needs the use of extraordinarily sensible, as a rule - contact sensors are practically impossible to be utilized in conditions of real work of a driver. So the information should be gathered by remote sensors during motion of vehicle and be analyzed in realtime mode. Probability of the accepted decision as result of this analysis should be as greater as possible, in ideal case close to unity.

Innovative Aspect and Main Advantages

For determination of characteristic signs of the physiology state of a driver the method of remote measurements of pulse and breath rhythm is offered to carry out, likewise to develop unique complex of methods and algorithms of treatment and analysis of informative signals which are based on the principles of selection of useful information in radar systems. Also, unlike the known methods, offered preventive system automatically adapts oneself to the concrete man and can be used for any conditions (autonomous variant in the form of wrist-watch, or as “safety belt” with no need for substantial changes in construction).
